To improve its brand image and promote products and services. This digital signage project for Alligator Pack and Ship was targeted to achieve the following objectives.
- To improve both company and shop image as a packaging and shipping expert
- To advertise Alligator Pack and Ship’s products and services
- To sell third-party advertising to customers and partners
- To communicate services and messages efficiently to customers
SOLUTION
Working closely with Alligator Pack and Ship, APEX gathered the business and technical requirements to ensure a solid understanding of the overall objectives. Based on their requirements, APEX recommended Rise Vision's Content Management Software—a SaaS solutions ("hosted" software as a service that the end user does not "buy" but accesses remotely through a web browser).
The key advantages of SaaS relate mostly to pricing and cost savings. They include:
- A pricing model based on consumption, typically a monthly payment for a predetermined
- number of months, which requires little to no capital expense
- Lower installation costs
- Lower maintenance costs since the vendor handles upgrades remotely
- Lower support costs as there is no hardware to worry about, no virus monitoring, etc. —those responsibilities are borne primarily by the vendor
- Access from anywhere with an internet connection
This solution enables Alligator Pack and Ship's personnel to quickly and efficiently program and distribute consistent promotion information to its in-store digital sign.
RESULTS
Located behind the customer service counter the digital sign is getting notice by customers and visitors resulting in service inquiries and improved sales. Incremental revenue from the sale of third-party advertising slots are also being achieved. The Alligator Pack and Ship management updates messages as needed and they are very pleased with the immediate nature of message updates versus static posters. Non-technical staff can update messages because Rise Vision is easy to use, making ongoing updates an inexpensive proposition.
